In this session I would like to present an API used to generate SVG files directly from Oracle database. I developed this API in pure PL/SQL and I’m using it for my projects. First, I would like to talk about SVG files – their history, purpose, structure, how they integrate with CSS and javascript; after that I would like to show a real example of API usage in APEX application. API proved himself very useful because there is no need for third party libraries, tools or other programming languages – only good old PL/SQL and Oracle database.
