Rovinj, a beautiful city, the pearl of Istrian penninsula, remembers its turbulent past and wonderful present.
Rovinj is a small Croatian city, situated on west coast of Istria, on 45° 01' latitude and 13° 38' longitude east of Greenwich. Old town city centre is situated on a penninsula.
Rovinj is mentioned for the first time as Ruigno, Ruvigno, Ruginio in Cosmographia by anonymous Ravenna writer which gives a display of Istria in IV.and V. century AD.
The city of Rovinj has, according to the census from 2007., 13.562 citizens.
In Rovinj Archipelago there are 22 islands from which St. Andrew and St. Catherine island are among the most beautiful.
Hotel Istra 4* is situated on one of the most beautiful islands in Rovinj Archipelago – St. Andrew island. Island of St. Andrew is only 10 minute boat-ride away from the city of Rovinj. Modernly designed hotel is nicely incorporated in the natural habitat. Hotel Istra on the St. Andrew islanf is renewed in 2006. when Wellness and spa centre was added. Wellness centre spreads on 1500 m2 and all conference participants can rest and relax after long and exhausting daily activities.
Evening events and parties will be held at the old Castle where the noise doesn't bother other guests because the castle is is isolated and located about 100 metres from the hotel main entrance.
