We will talk about the experience and the challenges we faced during the migration from a local Windows server setup to Oracle Linux on the OCI while maintaining the connection with on-premises windows environments.

Domagoj Šain, author
Domagoj Šain is a senior Oracle DBA with over 25 years of international experience in the field. Certified on Oracle database versions 8i-12c and as an OCI architect and Autonomous Database specialist. He is the owner of Data Domain d.o.o. which is an IT company specializing in remote administration of Oracle databases on different OS platforms. Data Domain is an Oracle Partner and specializes in Oracle Hospitality database implementations and support and have been working on such projects throughout the EU and Asia pacific.
Ivan Benutić, coauthor
Ivan Benutić graduated in Business systems and informatics from the Faculty of Organization and Informatics at the University of Zagreb. As a long-time Linux enthusiast and a certified OCI associate he works at Data Domain d.o.o. as an Oracle DBA. Data Domain d.o.o. is an IT company specializing in remote administration of Oracle database and Oracle Linux installations and is an Oracle Partner. Data Domain has Certified Oracle Professionals (OCP versions 8i, 9i, 10g, 11g, 12c) and offers Oracle DBA consulting, monitoring, and maintenance of Linux, AIX, Solaris, and Windows OS.
